Art of Music Returns to the West Seattle Art Walk in September 2021!

Many of you may remember the delight of live music paired with Second Thursday Art Walk in the last half of 2019. Art of Music brought family-friendly instrumental and vocal music to outdoor and indoor venues in the Alaska Junction, thanks to the passion and drive of project originator and coordinator John Redenbaugh.

We are thrilled to announce that, after the hiatus of 2020, John is bringing Art of Music back – and now to Admiral as well as the Alaska Junction! Mark your calendars for these Second Thursday West Seattle Art Walks:

 October 14 • November 11 • December 9

For the October 14 event, you can enjoy live music at both Verity Credit Union in the Alaska Junction and at Sopranos Antico Pizza and Pasta in the Admiral District.

Verity Credit Union The Junction – Award-Winning Singer-Songwriter Larry Murante 6 PM to 7:40 PM

Singer-songwriter Larry Murante is well known for his soaring, mellifluous tenor, strong rhythmic guitar style, and engaging stage presence. He performs both originals and cover tunes. His award-winning original songs feature beautifully woven stories about everyday folks. He has won more than 18 awards in US and international competitions for songwriting and performance, including Grand Prize Winner of the John Lennon Songwriting Contest and winner of the West Coast Songwriters Song Contest.

Sopranos Antico Admiral District – Byron Street Swing: A Quartet Performing Hot Club Jazz and Early French Swing Music 6 PM to 7:40 PM

BYRON STREET SWING is a quartet performing Hot Club Jazz and early French Swing music in the Seattle area. Born from a love of gathering for jams to play the songs of Django Reinhardt and other Gypsy Jazz masters of today; in 2018, they formed to bring these great Jazz Manouche classics to an audience.

For the November 11 event, you can enjoy music inside John L. Scott Real Estate West Seattle in the Alaska Junction and at West Seattle Grounds in the Admiral District.
