Celebrating Pride in the Heart of West Seattle
In celebration of one of the most exciting months of the year, you all came out, put your colors on, and made the Junction pride night a tremendous success! There were laughs, smiles and a whole lot of dancing. With the help of three lively drag queens and local businesses, pride fest was an event like no other.
The night started with an all-inclusive, All-Ways dance party at the intersection of California and Alaska street. Where there are usually bustling cars, there were instead dozens of prideful dancers getting their groove on. The energy was at an all-time high.
Next, the group shuffled over to Jet City Labs for an impressive drag queen event. The night featured three out-of-this-world drag queens – Freya, Issa Man, and Harper Bizarre. The ladies put on a spectacular show, leaving the guests in awe.
To end the night, the crowd landed at Poggie Tavern to keep the party going. The vibes were still high as DJ NightMere put on an incredible set, keeping the energy surging. The night was also made especially beautiful by all the amazing artwork highlighted during Art Walk. While the Junction was filled with pride, local artists displayed their work across the neighborhood. Combining two events into one, it was impossible to not have a blast.
Thank you to everyone for coming together in support of freedom, self-expression, identity, and love. We would also like to thank Neighborhood Matching Fund for your generous support.
