Roper Romp Returns to The Junction!

Get excited, West Seattle, because the Mrs.Roper Romp is coming back this summer. The 4th annual event is returning to the Junction and is gearing up to be an absolute blast. Get ready to dress up, share time with fellow Rompers, and explore the Junction.

The Roper Romp has quickly become a beloved tradition that brings the community together in the best way possible. The theme of the event is none other than Helen Roper from the classic tv show, Three’s Company. In celebration of her joyful, carefree personality and iconic look, participants will dress up as Ms. Roper and spend the night crawling through the Junction. 

The unforgettable Helen Roper look features a bright orange and curly wig, a colorful caftan, large statement jewelry, and oversized sunglasses. This is your opportunity to finally bust out the accessories you have been dying to wear. If you don’t already have your Roper outfit, all of the items can be easily found within Junction businesses. Carmilias, the Discovery Shop, Menashe Jewelers, and The Thrift Store at The Center should have you covered. 

The event will take place on Saturday, August 22nd, and the “Helens”, as they affectionately refer to themselves, will be meeting at the Junction Square Plaza for a picture at 5:30P. I expect it won’t be hard to find the people you will be spending your night with. After the Helens are gathered and the pictures are taken, the group of clones will then trot through the Junction for the rest of the night. Several Junction businesses will be participating with their own unique Roper Romp specials. Those in on the action include: Revelry Room, Camp West, Eagles Club, Talarico’s, Pegasus Pizza, West Seattle Bowl and more! The night will conclude with karaoke at Talaricos, beginning at 9:00P. 

Whether you are a seasoned Helen or this is your first time, the night is sure to bring amazing energy, awesome costumes, and a whole lot of laughs. Now's the time to start working on your best Ms. Roper impression and put together the legendary look. We hope to see you there!
