Hi West Seattle! West Seattle Summer Fest is July 12-14, and is going to be great!  We are inviting the neighborhood to help make this event go as smoothly as possible by volunteering for a few hours.  This is a great community service opportunity for students who need hours for school.  All are welcome to help! [caption id="attachment_12664" align="alignright" width="214"] Photo by Donna Ryan[/caption] KIDS AREA In the kids’ area, we offer free art activities and face painting.  This area is important to provide fun opportunities for all kids and to also give families the opportunity for some down time in the shade.  Thank you to Young at Art, Pathfinder K-8, and Curious Kidstuff for helping make this area possible. We need volunteers to help tidy the area.  Please sign up for a 3 hour shift here:  http://doodle.com/b6prznv27ggfvuza MORNING GATE MONITOR Always wanted to wear an orange vest?  Here’s your chance!  During morning setup, it is helpful to have a person (or pair) stationed at each festival gate to caution against vehicles entering the pedestrian zone.  It’s an easy but very important job for public safety.
