Marie Antoinette was certainly known for her extravagant tastes, and like many aristocrats of her era, a love of perfume. In 2006, Versailles released a scent that approximated one of the Queen’s favorite formulas, made by the royal perfumer before the French Revolution. The scent includes notes of rose, iris, jasmine, orange blossom and sandalwood.
