Emerald Water Anglers is having their annual fly fishing event at Me Kwa Mooks park from 10am to 4pm this Saturday, June 4th. They’ll have professional demo rods to try out, casting instruction from IFFF certified instructors, as well as their 10th annual Guide Staff Cook Off. During the cook off the entire guide staff will be competing against one another to cook the best stream-side meal. They’ll each be drawing from their own repertoire of meals they make when guiding, and each cook will have $30 and 30 minutes to prepare food for 3 people. This event is judged by Brad Glaberson, owner of Cucina Fresca, and Eric Donnelly, owner of Rock Creek and Flint Creek Restaurants here in Seattle, as well as two other food experts. Emerald Water Anglers will also have the sales reps from Patagonia, Winston, Simms, Loomis, Scott, Yeti, Echo and other manufacturers they carry doing free demos. This free event is open to the public and kid friendly!
