Wine Tastings and Art Walk at Bin 41
Art Walk this week and a Wednesday night tasting!
It’s that time again…on Thursday the 9th, Bin 41 will be hosting the monthly Art Walk event from 6-9 pm. They’ll be joined by the visiting viticulturist from Graham Beck in South Africa who will be pouring a great selection of their wines. In addition, their walls will be adorned by new artwork from a local West Seattleite, Clay Marsh.
But to kick that off, we’ve booked a tasting on Wednesday the 8th from 5:30-7 pm with Rex Hill and A to Z from Oregon. In 1982, the founders of Rex Hill fell in love with the property that would soon become a labor of love. For over two decades, the family produced quality wines. In 2007, when Paul and Jan were ready to retire, they did not sell to a big wine conglomerate. Instead, they gave the keys to their winery to a another small family owned Oregon winery, A to Z.
And don’t forget about the Fall Classes – starting in a few weeks! About a third of the classes are full. If you haven’t seen the line-up, you can view it at http://www.bin41wine.com/Site/classes/classes.html
Here’s a few classes we want to call your attention to:
- Sake part one later this month where you’ll get to try the different types of sake, learn how it’s made and get to nibble on food pairings from Hajime of Mashiko from non-traditional Japanese ingredients;
- Ghoulishly delicious wine based cocktails – learn how to be your own party mixologist crafting tasty cocktails from various wine bases to impress all your party guests;
- Oddball varietals and their European counterparts – join us and our wine Diva Joelle to sample some classic European wine varietals and see what the winemakers are doing with these lesser known varietals locally.
Don’t miss out on these great classes…contact Bin 41 to sign up today!
