Weekend Events and Cinco de Mayo

Saturday, May 4th Matador begins their weekend long Cinco de Mayo celebrations by having some drink specials! Their specials go from Saturday to Sunday. Ta nan ta na na na nan… tequila!!! Jewelry Launch at Click! from 11am – 5pm. Karen Konzuk will be displaying her new collection, Orbis. She will also share her techniques and processes on how she creates her gold and concrete pieces. More details here. Get inspired at Twilight Gallery and Boutique from 7pm-9pm, for a night of new creative nonfiction, Works in Progress: Featuring Local Non-fiction Writers. They’re also keeping their gallery and store open for late night shopping so there’s tons of fun to be had! More details here.

West Seattle Farmer’s Market, highlights for this weekend are, fresh herbs, goat and sheep cheese, daikon radish, endive, tomato starts, frozen and dried fruit, and cauliflower! We see the beginnings of a lot of salad making! Fresh Bistro is hosting their first La Caja Style roasted local pig for Cinco de Mayo brunch! This Mexican brunch with specialty cocktails and finished with a delicious flan, goes from 11am – 2pm. $16 per person and reservations are recommended. Cupcake Royale is also celebrating Cinco de Mayo. For the whole month of May they will have lemon cake topped with lime buttercream spiked with tequila and finished with a rim of salt and sugar.
