The West Seattle Glass Float Hunt Returns: August 8–15!
It’s that time again, treasure seekers!
The West Seattle Glass Float Hunt is back and more magical than ever. From August 8–15, keep your eyes peeled as 100 hand-blown glass floats, crafted by the artists at Avalon Glassworks, are hidden throughout West Seattle—nestled in local businesses, tucked in parks, and waiting for you to discover them.
Each float is a sparkling piece of art in beautiful pink and purples, designed to bring a bit of whimsy and joy to your summer. They’re yours to keep—if you find one!
How It Works:

Daily Clues: Head to westseattlefloathunt.com for daily hints. New clues will drop each day of the week, each one pointing toward a hidden float.

Finders Keepers: If you find a float, take a photo and tag us and your float sponsor! It’s yours to keep. No additional steps needed. We love seeing the happy faces of float-finders.

Respect the Hunt: Business operating hours vary throughout West Seattle. Please be respectful of their posted hours. Business owners and float fairies try to be clever about where they hide them to keep the adventure alive. However, they are never buried, never in dangerous places, and never in private flowerbeds or behind fences. Please hunt responsibly, respectfully and have fun!

Bring a friend, grab a coffee, and make a day of it! The hunt is the perfect excuse to explore new corners of the Junction and rediscover your favorite shops, eateries, and green spaces plus businesses and parks throughout West Seattle.
