Special Reserve Tasting at Bin 41
Bin 41 is having a special reserve tasting next Tuesday, January 26 from 6:30-7:30pm. Reserve your spot now to experience some great wines from an Italian biodynamic (organic) winery, Querciabella, who is making wines in a very unique way. This special sit-down style tasting will be held in the cozy front space of Bin 41 right here in The Junction.
“We have the opportunity to do a special, sit down style tasting in our front space next Tuesday, 01.26.2016 from 6:30-7:30 pm. While it’s a bit short notice, these are some really cool Italian wines from a producer that is biodynamic including a proprietary farming regime known as ‘cruelty-free’ biodynamic; meaning they use no animal derived products in either the grape growing or vinification. Therefore the wines are vegan with no animal-based products such as egg whites used for fining.”
Bin 41 will also have a representative from the winery, Querciabella, on hand to lead the tasting. Founded in Greve Tuscany in 1974, Querciabella is a producer of single site, terroir driven wines from five distinct communes: Greve, Panzano, Radda, Gaiole and Maremma on the Etruscan coast. Owner Sebastiano Cossia Castiglioni has been an accomplished industrial designer, art collector and a vegetarian/animal rights activist for nearly thirty years. Born in 1966 in Milan, Sebastiano under the tutilege of his father Giuseppe Castiglioni, was introduced at an early age to the world of fine wine. With a strong conviction to the environmental movement he converted the estate to organic viticulture in 1988 and biodynamics in 2000.
Bin 41 is also offering an amazing deal for this tasting. Due to the short notice of this event, they have been able to arrange to have the tasting for only $10 per person (with reservations required). The line-up will include one of Querciabella’s reserve super Tuscans, Palafreno 2010, which retails for $200. This special treat is being opened just for this tasting, and Bin 41 is excited to be able to try it with you!
