Junction Health and Wellness Fair

The Junction Health Fair is Sunday, June 13 West Seattleites have the opportunity to meet their local wellness partners, brush up on disaster preparedness, help save 3 lives by giving blood, and enter to win healthy prizes When: Sunday, June 13 2010 10 a.m. – 2 p.m. What: 20 health and wellness providers located in the West Seattle Junction neighborhood are participating in the first annual Junction Health Fair as a way to educate West Seattleites on the wide range of health services in multiple disciplines available to them without having to cross the bridge. In addition to the array of physicians, dentists, massage therapists, fitness and yoga studios, pharmacies and vitamin stores, there will be healthful and interesting activities for the whole family to enjoy. Give blood at the blood drive – Junction fire fighters and police officers – Disaster preparedness experts –  West Seattle Farmers Market demonstrating healthy cooking with fresh, local produce. Most participating wellness providers will have fun freebies at their booths, and all will have a free raffle item, including yoga classes, massage therapy and baskets of vitamin supplements. Why: The West Seattle is home to a broad range of health providers, from dermatologists, to dentists, urgent care walk-in clinics and compounding pharmacies, massage therapists to alternative medicine clinics. While West Seattleites use The Junction for dining out, arts and culture and boutique shopping, the West Seattle Junction Association wants to bring attention to the wellness services available to them without having to leave the West Seattle peninsula.
