Harvest Fest 2024 Brings the Crowd to the Junction
Harvest Fest 2024 is a wrap, and what a hit! The West Seattle Marching Band kicked things off, leading a festive parade of trick-or-treaters that brought smiles, candy, and plenty of spirit to California Ave SW.
The West Seattle Food Bank’s chili cook-off turned up the heat with eight local favorites competing including Easy Street Café, Elliot Bay Brewery, Fire Tacos, Husky Deli, Margie’s Café, NW TX BBQ, Shadowland, and The Westy. After all the votes were in, Matt from Easy Street Café took home the win—congrats, Matt and team!
A la Mode Pies brought the fun (and mess!) with their pie-eating contests. Kids devoured mini pies, while adults tackled full-size pumpkin pies—no hands allowed! Big applause to the winners, who took home a fresh pie certificate (kids) and two cooking class tickets at A La Mode Pies (adults)!
Throughout the day, festival-goers enjoyed activities from our awesome vendors, like giant checkers, bean bag tosses, and marshmallow-building challenges. A huge thanks to our sponsors and booth participants who kept the fun going for everyone, from kids to adults alike. Including: Hope Lutheran School, Island Time Preschool, West Seattle Health Club, Westside School, Titans Lacrosse, Sound Painting Solutions, Mode Music and Performing Arts, Bees Plumbing and Heating, Law Offices of Jenny Ling, Highline Premier Football League, Snips Its Haircuts for Kids, Holy Rosary School and Rain City Ropeworks.
The Seattle Thrillers took center stage in the Junction for their famous “Thriller” dance, inviting zombies and onlookers to join the party. And thanks to Westside Music Academy, the festival rocked on with live performances, including kid-friendly acoustic tunes by Joe Ross and spooktacular jams from the Heebie Jeebies.
Thank you, West Seattle, for bringing the Halloween spirit and making this year’s Harvest Fest one for the books!
