Donna Ryan Photography is now City Mouse Studio and Store! Brand new name–same fresh, modern photography and hip stuff for kids! After receiving over 400 entries in her renaming contest, photographer and storeowner Donna Ryan, is formally announcing her new business identity, City Mouse Studio and Store, as of February 1, 2011. While the name City Mouse was not among the many wonderful entries, it was inspired by the childhood stories and anecdotes that accompanied some of the suggestions. “The name City Mouse reminds me of my childhood growing up in Australia where my favorite story was the Aesop’s Fable, City Mouse, Country Mouse. It evokes feelings of resourcefulness and a modern lifestyle, two unique aspects of my business.”  On behalf of everyone who entered, the $500 gift certificate that accompanied the contest has been donated to WestSide Baby, a White Center-based charity that provides essentials like diapers, clothing, toys and equipment to families in need. Ryan is celebrating her new identity with an Open House on Saturday, February 12 from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Shoppers will enjoy 20 percent off storewide, including new products like super soft baby clothes from Babysoy, edible finger paints from Wee Can Too and hip gear from SkipHop, a sale rack with savings up to 70 percent off, door prizes, mimosas and cupcakes.
