Art Walk is Thursday, November 12
Art Walk and Twilight Artist Collective is featuring an interesting show called NW Anvil 1: A Survey of Contemporary NW Ironwork, a compilation of contemporary ironwork by members of the Northwest Blacksmith Association (NWBA), curated by Twilight’s own, Andy Blakney and Lisa Geertsen. This association just celebrated its 30th year and has a membership spreading through Canada, Washington, Oregon, Idaho, and beyond. It is a group committed to the pursuit of education and preservation of the craft and many of its members have passed on their knowledge to others to create this large group of talented smiths. This show is a small representation of the membership, but it includes some of the most talented smiths in the Northwest and even the country. November is Food Drive Month at the West Seattle Art Walk. For more information on other Art Walk artists and where to drop off your food donations, visit the Art Walk blog.]]>
