Art Walk and Art of Music – June 13th
The West Seattle Art Walk is a celebration of local artists, galleries, and businesses coming together to showcase the rich tapestry of artistic talent in our neighborhood. Held every second Thursday of the month, this event invites you to explore a diverse array of artistic expressions, from paintings and sculptures to photography and mixed media installations. The upcoming June 13 West Seattle Art Walk will feature Art of Music with events in the Admiral District, Alaska Junction, and Morgan Junction
Paul Gerard @ Soprano’s Antico Pizza & Pasta Restaurant in the Admiral District.
Acclaimed Seattle singer-songwriter, known for his smooth voice & heartfelt lyrics, Paul Gerard’s passion is to “sing your world into being, with love.” This message resonates in his original ballads, love songs and epic anthems, exploring and celebrating his Pacific Northwest home, world cultures and all things heaven & earth.
DUBLIN ABBEY @ Great American Diner & Bar in the Alaska Junction.
DUBLIN ABBEY is a harmony driven folk-rock band from the shores of the Salish Sea that has performed both locally and internationally. Combining a beautiful and enchanting singing ballerina, a lovely and exquisitely talented violinist from the Ukrainian National Orchestra, and a songwriting team thick with richly-wound harmonies, DUBLIN ABBEY performs an engaging combination of audience pleasing covers and upbeat originals.
Alex Baird @ Whisky West in the Morgan Junction.
Contemporary jazz vocalist, songwriter, and native Seattleite, Alex Baird sings with the soul and tact of a seasoned singer. After graduating with a degree in Jazz performance in 2020 from University of Northern Colorado, recording and releasing her debut album, Lemon Tree in May 2022, she has jumped into the Seattle music scene with a fresh but classic take on the jazz standards we know and love. Alex is an accomplished songwriter; her original song, All I Needed, has 1.7M streams on Spotify and her music is reminiscent of greats like Norah Jones, Stevie Wonder, and Carol King. Alex has achieved notable success in Seattle, having won the Seattle-Kobe Jazz Vocalist competition at age 19 in 2018, adjudicating the Commencement Bay Jazz Festival in 2023, and now teaches and performs regularly in Seattle. Her favorite local gig is playing and singing Christmas music at West Seattle Thriftway each year.
