Hundreds of float seekers explored West Seattle parks, beaches, and green spaces in search of handblown treasures from Avalon Glassworks during the glass float hunt from Aug 8-15th.
One of the best parts of the hunt? Watching neighbors and visitors alike discover (or rediscover!) the charm of West Seattle—popping into local businesses, grabbing a bite, and wandering through parks they may not have visited in a while. The hunt wasn’t just about finding a float—it was about exploring the heart of our community.
