Recycle & Reuse in The Junction!

Got stuff that doesn’t belong in your home recycling bin? Bring it to the West Seattle Recycling & Reuse Collection Event on Saturday, March 8, from 9 AM to 12 PM!

Every year, we host this FREE event to help our community responsibly recycle and reuse items that don’t fit in regular curbside pickup. This year, we’re shaking things up—no more long car lines! You’ll park at South Seattle College’s north lot and walk your items to the appropriate trucks. (Heads up: No early or late drop-offs! Trucks leave when full.)

✅ What We’re Accepting:

✔️ Foam blocks
✔️ Household batteries (no damaged ones)
✔️ Fluorescent tubes & bulbs (limit: 4 ft., no broken bulbs)
✔️ Small, empty propane camping canisters
✔️ Small electronics (TVs, computers, etc.)
✔️ Small appliances (non-freon)
✔️ Paper for shredding (limit: 4 boxes)
✔️ Clothing, accessories, bedding & curtains (good condition)
✔️ Home goods & toys

❌ What We CAN’T Take:

✖️ Stained, ripped, or worn-out fabrics
✖️ Mismatched items (single shoes, etc.)
✖️ Furniture
✖️ Hazardous or automotive waste
✖️ Construction debris
✖️ Car seats, mattresses, household garbage, yard waste
