NW Hope & Healing Fashion Show Benefit May 3rd

Northwest Hope & Healing presents STYLE ’12 Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good! Fashion Show Benefit May 3rd! On May 3rd, more than 30 breast cancer survivors will show their strength as they model the newest spring trends during Style ’12, Northwest Hope & Healing’s 10th Annual Look Good, Feel Good, Do Good! Fashion Show Benefit. The women will be accompanied by 16 male models, men who have a close tie to the cause and have been touched in some way by breast cancer. Three-time breast cancer survivor, Tracy Dart, is keynote speaker, and has worked tirelessly to raise funds for breast cancer since being diagnosed for the first time in 2008. Proceeds from the event will benefit the Northwest Hope & Healing (NWHH) Patient Assistance Fund in an effort to offer financial assistance to women battling breast cancer in the Puget Sound area. Over the last 12 years, the Northwest Hope & Healing Patient Assistance fund has awarded grants to 1,589 women to help them get through breast cancer and the annual fashion show has raised over $500,000 over the past nine years, with a 2012 fundraising goal of $100,000. Doors open for the show at 7 p.m. and will be held at the Showbox SODO, 1700 1st Ave South. This moving evening is filled with heartfelt camaraderie and emotional connections between survivors and supporters alike and will include an overview of NWHH’s Healing Programs, three prize drawings, the chance to make donations to fund-a-need (which provides essentials like groceries, gas, childcare or rent), followed by a runway fashion show featuring outfits from some of the hottest boutiques in the Seattle area including: Carmilia’s, Sweetie, Coastal Surf Boutique, West Seattle Runner, Howard & Marge, Canopy Blue, Butch Blum, Road Apparel, Chloe and Dillon, Pink Ginger, Kick It Boots & Stompwear, Blue Luna, Asher Goods, Tatters and Ola Salon. Linda Sabee, proprietor of Carmilia’s in West Seattle has been involved with the event since it’s inception and will once again return to help coordinate the fashion show for the 10th consecutive year. “Ten years ago I wouldn’t have dreamed that the little fashion show that started at Ola Salon as a fun night out would turn into such a huge event and fund raiser for Northwest Hope and Healing. Carmilia’s is honored to be a part of this amazing night as event coordinator and boutique participant. Northwest Hope and Healing is a great organization and deserves the support of the community.” Tickets prices range from $40 to $1,000. $40-$50 for Look Good General Admission at 7pm; $125-$150 for Feel Good VIP Admission at 6:30 p.m.; and $1,000 for Do Good Top Model Table which includes four VIP tickets, 6:30 p.m. admission, deluxe goody bags, reserved front row table seating.
