Hometown Holidays in the Junction

They say it’s better to give than to receive. But choose to give local this holiday season, and you’ll receive even more.

Come to the Holiday Night Market on Saturday, December 7th, from 3 PM to 7 PM on Alaska Street, where you’ll find local handmade goods from over 40 local artisans. Get your picture with Santa too! Watch for Santa 4 PM to 7 PM in the Holiday Night Market Santa House. Make an ornament to hang on the tree to show holiday spirit the entire community can enjoy! Held in Junction Plaza Park at 42nd and Alaska during the Holiday Night Market we present a full music and entertainment line-up, with the finale – the tree lighting.

Entertainment by: Mode Music Studios, Endolyne Children’s Choir, School of Rock and headliner The Not It’s! Welcoming West Seattle favorite to emcee – Brent Amaker!

At 6 pm, The Junction presents the 16th Annual Tree Lighting Event. It’s a community event for family, friends, and neighbors.



All during the month of December the Junction has tons to unique shopping and holiday events. Shopping local sparks the magic of a true hometown holiday spirit. What’s more, The Junction has so much in store for everyone. Experience the magic of the season with a full array of holiday-inspired events.

Holiday Preview – Nov 8th – 10th

Experience the joy of the season early when you visit the Junction. The merchants have a full weekend of fun events, open houses, trunk shows and all the sparkle of the season. Make a date to shop at the Junction Holiday Preview November 8th – 10th. Your favorite Junction shops will be hosting events, specials, and sales as you begin to gather ideas for the holidays.

An exciting addition is a new (!) collectible West Seattle Junction ornament that’s yours free when you spend $20 or more. Limited ornaments on each day at participating businesses. Look for the adorable ornament picture in the front window of the store.

With renovations still to be completed, giving to the mural project is a way to help restore the West Seattle pieces of history. What’s more fun than shopping at your favors shops while wearing pajamas sipping on free Hot Cocoa? Get your cozy flannels on and come to the Junction for Pajamarama! At participating merchants receive a free limited edition diner mug w/ $20 purchase (you must be wearing your PJs). Or simply bring a mug with you. Either way, we’ll fill it with free hot cocoa (w/whipped cream and sprinkles) at the cocoa filling station run by the Junction volunteers. Gift Rescue and Late Night Shopping

Thurs, Dec 19th, 5 PM to late. 

Not sure what to purchase? The gift rescue elves will help. Join the Junction for food and extra help with choosing that special something. Have a gift you purchased in the Junction throughout the season? Bring it in for free gift wrapping supported by the Junction volunteers! If you’re slightly shy or stumped when it comes to gift buying, that evening the merchants will have extra hands on deck to help shoppers with the perfect gift. Find the gift station cozied inside the Windermere Real Estate – West Seattle across from CAPERS.

Also that evening, bring back any item you’ve purchased in the Junction and the friendly Junction volunteers will make it cheery and bright with bags, bows and tissue paper – free!

Holiday Farmers Market

Sun, Dec 22nd, 10 AM – 2 PM.

Pick up a locally made artisan gift. You know you’ll be spreading good cheer when you support a local farmer.
